BD Recharge API is a business tool for mobile recharge and bill-payment resellers and distributors. This policy explains what information we collect, why we collect it, and how we handle it.
Account information. Name, mobile number, email address and business details you provide when an account is created for you.
Phone verification. Your mobile number is verified with a one time code sent by SMS when you register and when you sign in from a new device. To deliver that message your number is passed to the SMS gateway we use in Bangladesh. The app does not read, receive or access the SMS messages on your device; you enter the code yourself.
Transaction records. Recharge, bill payment and balance transfer records created through your account, kept as a business ledger.
Business verification (KYC) information. To open and maintain a reseller or distributor account we may collect your National ID (NID) number and photographs of your National ID card, your TIN number, your trade licence number, your business and postal address, a profile photograph, and a social media profile link where you choose to provide one. These are collected only to verify that you are a genuine business, to meet record keeping obligations, and to prevent fraud and impersonation. They are never used for advertising or sold to anyone.
Identity documents are stored on our own servers with restricted access and are visible only to authorised staff of the business that issued your account and to our administrators. We do not publish them, and we share them only where the law or a competent authority requires it. You may ask us to correct these details, and you may ask us to delete them when your account is closed and any legal retention period has passed.
Device identifier. A device identifier is stored so that only devices you have approved can access your account. This is a security measure and is not used for advertising or tracking across other apps or websites.
Notification token. If you allow notifications, a token is stored so we can deliver alerts about your transactions and account.
Technical logs. IP address, browser or app version and time of access, kept for security and troubleshooting.
To operate your account, process the transactions you request, verify approved devices, send transaction and account notifications, provide support, prevent fraud and abuse, and meet record keeping obligations.
We do not sell your information and we do not share it for advertising. Information is shared only with the mobile operators, billers and payment partners needed to complete a transaction you request, and with authorities where the law requires it.
Some of our sites provide a live support chat supplied by a third-party provider. If you start a chat, the messages you send and basic technical details such as your IP address and browser or app version are processed by that provider so we can answer you. Do not send passwords, PINs or one time codes through the chat. If the chat is not enabled on your site, nothing is collected this way.
Account, identity verification and transaction records are retained while your account is active and afterwards for as long as business and legal record keeping requires. Device and notification records are removed when you remove the device or disable notifications.
Access is protected by password, one time password verification, device approval and, for sensitive actions, a separate PIN. Data is transmitted over encrypted connections.
You can review and remove approved devices from your account settings, turn notifications off at any time, and ask us to correct your account information.
BD Recharge API is a business tool intended for registered resellers and distributors in Bangladesh. Accounts are issued to businesses and their authorised staff, who must be 18 or older. The service is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect information from them.
